Who Made This Website?
My name is Rabbi Moshe Rube. I received my Semicha from Yeshiva University my New York State Music Teacher’s certification. Beyond the official school credentials, I have studied voice privately for more than 10 years. Thank God I’ve been able to find the right teachers who have helped me advance immeasurably in singing and the art of inspiring others with my voice. I’ve had the privilege to give many personal concerts, serve as Chazzan for Shabbosim and the Yomim Noraim, and give sermons in many synagogues across America.
Why did I build this site?
Because there are too many rabbis who’ve expressed concerns to me about the trouble they have with their voice. Some say “Oh you’re into voice? I lose my voice every time I daven for the amud”. Others say, “I want to sound like a Rabbi when i sing”. And my favorite, “I hate giving shiur in a room with terrible acoustics”
What is The Voice Rabbi?
It’s an email list where I’m sending free exercises that rabbis can do in their car or while walking to shul so they keep themselves healthy and their voice sounding “Rabbi-like”. Why should the Torah you have to teach be masked by a strained and raspy voice? Why should you not feel confident in an acousticless room? Why should you not inspire your audience when you hit the high note on the Carlebach Mimkomcha? There’s no reason why any person shouldn’t be able to hit that
